Princess agnes succeed persuading maxi to become mage and go to nornui where she can receive an actual protection

I haven’t read the novel but I’ve seen spoilers that she does go to the mage tower for 4 years. So I’m guessing based on that fact that she wins the trial, I just don’t know what happens to the duke
