i do think the scene of yeesung and gyeol on the beach was necessary in terms of time and place. it was crucial because we got to see yeesungs relationship with sex isnt healthy and how his body is responding to his sexual trauma.
if they had somehow taken this to a hotel room the whole meaning of that scene wouldn't come through and it could just be brushed off as them having sex, thats it! i think that scene had to be done on the beach in that moment to show that ahn yeesung didnt have control over his reactions to these things, he doesnt necessarily WANT to have sex, its just his body reacting due to all the trauma hes experienced in the past. it wasnt something he wanted to enjoy.
i dont know is calling him hypersexual is correct, but i do know a lot of SA victims and rape victims end up becoming hypersexual as a response to their trauma and i think this might also be the case for yeesung :(
