to those of you saying him being gray is because of his illness and it was implied or stated in the chapter, i need you to reread that chapter for me and tell me exactly where and when was it stated that his illness has somehow affected his skintone. they said he has 'emotional instability' and that he is affected physically as well (though they never specified what exactly) but they never stated anything about it affecting his skintone. telling others to read properly and claim they dont have reading comprehension is absurd when its obvious you're stating bs without showing actual proof of his illness DIRECTLY affecting his skintone. and even if he was meant to look 'pale' because of his illness it was poorly done because it shoudnt look THAT grey.
we can acknowledge that it may have something to do with his illness and still understand that it was poorly done regardless because its so common in asian media for people to portray darkskinned characters as grey. And all of you saying he's not even black etc. this argument is stupid because regardless of his entnicity he still shouldn't be that gray? yes grey toned people exist but they shouldnt look like that.
the reason most of you think its a stylistic choice and brush this aside is because its so normalized in manhwas to draw darkskinned characters as grey that you've become desensitised to it.
most of you are choosing to be ignorant because you're probably not black. if an asian person was portrayed as yellow in a western media you would probably throw a fit (saying this as an asian btw before any of you start saying im racist or sumn).
https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/the_thread_never_burned/.
