im really intrigued at this piece bc it does such a well job at depicting hypersexuality as a trauma response and an ongoing manifestation of sexual assault. in the earlier chapters we definitely had an understanding that this story was not going to be for the faint of heart but its been, albeit somewhat of a hard read, a truly unique telling of how people act and learning why they act or behave the way they do after peeling back their layers. this is a problematic and sick situation of course, but it does exemplify the reality a lot of people unfortunately have to manage and cope with as a result of this sort of abuse
