Mc’s worries about ml while he’s hiding from him feel so forced to me

I think it more about "you did all of that to me and you alredy given up?" kind of vibe of trauma response. But in the "if you gave up so quickly, then why I had to do all of that to leave" kind of way

Compared to all the hardship he went through to escape, it feel a bit "too easy". If he was going to let go so easily, he should have let him leave sooner instead of screwing him over for days and days. It does not feel fair.
