Reading the novel, he's an even bigger asshole when you read his thoughts the whole time he's with Michelle. Poor boy doesn't deserve that he's just a babeh
i really thought there would be some bigger reason for that whole charade, like seeing how his fiance would treat a servant in private or wanting to be loved regardless of status. but at the moment, he's just stereotypical cold asshole duke of the north. literally only difference from the usual is that he bottoms, which doesn't outweigh his shit personality.
