YES.
The novel is dark and Magnus is truly an unhinged yandere who DOES lock her up in that house he built. The characters are either moraly grey/black in general. The webtoon became a romantic comedy with typical rofan tendencies and changed the art to have bright colors and cute chibis every few panels.
I would suggest reading the novel and to skip reading this one if you want the dark story we were promised in the beginning.
I will never forgive the korean audience for bullying the artist/author with changing the webtoon into a typical goofy ass rofan instead of the dark romance we were promised as per the light novel !!!
The first season was perfection. The second season and beyond isn't even the right art style , atmosphere mood etc. Instead of going for and reading the other hundred plus lighthearted rofans out there, they had to ruin this one. I'm devastated and mourning what could have been.
