The story is almost over (there are side stories), and the ending feels very rushed. Plus I feel bad for the Elder Priest. Should he have paid for the murders? Yeah--but it wasn't just him; he was threatened to be killed if he didn't and spared MC's life...but he's the only one facing consequences. Not the emperor who forced him, nor the other priest who worked with him.
