SCD is sooooo good. ML is devoted to MC. also, it's a switch couple but shou bottoms alot and where im at, he's only bottomed, not topped. MTSF is also sooo good, it's historical. ML is lovely, funny and devoted. SCD also has live action and the casting director actually ATE SO HARD !! the MC and ML are exactly the copy paste of what's described in the novel UGH!
** TW: SCD has angst and death of loved ones is one of the trope. but it's so good.
** MTSF feels a bit "sexist" but that's what the story calls for and not the author's views as it's based in ancient china. and the society that time in china was pretty sexist. it's an "arranged marriage/marriage of convenience" trope danmei. and the concept of "male wife" is not common in this story and hence the other people say things to MC etc. but MC is not a damsel in distress he's a charming beauty with a spine, he's so cool! a pretty shou x lovely gong.
i recommend both.

SCD got buff gangster shou who's slightly older x nerd puppy gong who's a schemer on the inside (who apparently sometimes switch)
MTSF got pretty shou with sharp tongue x handsome/charming but lazy gong with terminal illness who is sweet and caring and speaks his heart. (shou is pretty but not a "twink" there's no big height difference, im reading it currently and where im at, the shou can even lift the gong princes style bc gong is weak from the illness)
hope you like the danmei recs. i 200% recommend watching sammy's children's day live action/cdrama BL. it's SO GOOD. i been watching edits all day. might rewatch again. the leads are so hot and the chemistry is so good, i love them!,

gong is such a good person every little thing he does is an expression of his good character most of time at the cost of looking like a loser, and shou puts on a face but really is such a complex character that does care for the little people he does care for
just very well witten, all the cases are unique bonus it did get adapted to cdrama that was cancelled due to censorship but later on sold to japan so youll find it out there i believe ;-; the actors were so perfect
