Novel > manhwa

I just finished the novel before I even realized that there was an adaptation here but after looking through these chapters, I have to say the novel is a lot better! Not to say the manhwa is bad but I think we get a lot more in depth on the thoughts of everyone and an insight on everyone’s microexpressions, etc. We also get a better understanding of why she fell for the ml and how much she changed over the 5yrs.
Now Gopher in general, I have mixed feelings for even throughout the whole story but he does regret really hard and suffers, like fl doesn’t accept him back right away and drops truth bombs on him.
The fl I absolutely loved! I wished it showed more here but she was actually so insecure about her hair, in that it wasn’t the same texture as Blerias and it wasn’t natural, and had a ton of guilt towards the real Bleria, and once everyone started turning against her, I shed a couple tears for her cause her inner monologue was so sad. And it didn’t really seem so here but she actually lost her facial expressions over the 5yrs, like no smile, nothing (it was a whole thing that Gopher had never seen her smile and didn’t realize until he saw Eos smile) and she only gets them back after she runs away. Once she gets betrayed by ml, she doesn’t forgive and forget, she cusses him out before she runs, and when he finds her again, she pretends to lose her memories to see if he changed, and then clocks him with facts after he says some hypocritical things.
It also helps that I could imagine them the way I liked vs the adaptation. Like I imagined the duke to not already be so gray, cause he's supposed to get sicker and then his hair turns grayer.

Overall, I liked this story more as her finding family vs. the romance with gopher, but in general, this story is about Mel finding people she can trust in.
I would rate novel like 7 or 8 out of 10
