I'm actually defending the mother on this one bc for sure her dad is as bitchy and as absent as it can get. But mom is juggling having an emotionally stunted husband, being a present mother to her growing children, and running a country.
I think it's an extremely normal for literally a king and queen to be filled with diplomatic work especially since they're still in a cold war.
I agree they’re not bad. They’re just a few realistic spoiler, but like if you’ve got to the most recent ending, you know that the whole point of them doing all this other family can be together and so their kingdom doesn’t feel threatened by a different force, but I think that’s stupid as fuck because you couldn’t even take care of the kids you have and give them a good life. Don’t bring kids into this world selfishly I don’t give a fuck what you’re standing is it’s bullshit. I don’t necessarily think they’re bad like you said but they weren’t about all that in the wrong and most awful way they needed better retainers they needed better help because the mom should’ve at least been there all the time.

I was happy for having a complete family story only for to be disappointed on how neglecting they are towards to their children that includes the mc tbh not much as they were towards the sons but still is.
