Yeah idk if that was poorly translated if it's just a poorly conceived plot point
I think what she was getting at was Vicen originally only had one relationship, which was with his abusive mother (and everyone else was just someone he had to kill). So, in order to initiate a relationship with him, she made sure she was in the same category as his mom by treating him the way she does
And then with her foot in the door, she was able to show him a different kind of relationship based on love and care by treating the wounds after
And then she quickly phases out the abuse step all together
But yeah, that part was just weird ngl

Girl why is she also t0rchering Vicen like his mother seriously what's wrong with her? I stopped reading it after that because it's just so uncomfortable it starts in chapter 5
