ALWAYS give a chance, even when the rating is horrible, you never know if it's really trash or if it's everybody else who is stupid and have trashy taste

Im a little bit of both, I skimmed the comments and if they are mostly negative or have any relations to incest, beastiality etc. I wont read it but sometimes when I'm bored and see a story that interest me I would just straight up read it without checking its reviews/rating
absolutely and im not proud of it any manga that’s below 9.0 i don’t read bc oftentimes it’s not that good. however, i do notice that more problematic manhwas have lower ratings but actually have a decent plot line, so i try to give them a chance
no, tbh a good portion of the stories that I've read rated high were absolute garbage and the ones with low ratings were hidden gems.

i skip it if it's <7, but if it's 7-9, i always check the topics first to understand why it's disliked ! if the synopsis is too interesting, i end up giving it a shot anyway.....and unfortunately i do feel like the low rating is accurate most of the time, but there's the VERY rare occasions where it turns out to be a misunderstood hidden gem
i stay and give it a chance for the art mostly but if the art is shitty (also for the ones with high rating) OH WELL

I don't trust ratings but I trust reading the vibe of the comments together with the first 5 ish chapters
Random-ass question, but I’m pretty curious: do you guys ever skip a manwha/manhua/manga/etc. entirely because of its rating? Like, if you see that a story has a low rating, would you just assume it’s probably not good and not read it, or would you still give it a chance and read it for yourself before deciding if you like it or not?
