It's depend on how setting of the story. Some is that alpha have regular rut every 3/6/month, some have cuz they get exposed to omega pheromone, exposed to omega heat or met their fate pair. It been quit sometime i read this story so im not sure the reason. It may be just his regular rut coming so he hide it or something else ╮(￣▽￣)╭
