Amen! You speak the truth and truly spoke what is on my mind too.. The lies, the boundary crossing, seeing him as a pet, him actually did rape MC, using his influence and money to trap mc... all are red flags

The ML never once cared about Yeomin or what he wanted and only ever did things that pleased or benefitted himself, even when he knew that Yeomin had a huge crush on him.
And I thought the occasional narcissistic-ass speech bubble we saw from him made that obvious enough, but ppl still called him a green flag, man.
I can't
The ML seems to have been born with a silver spoon in his mouth and probably has no concept of actual hard work.
And now, he's using any means necessary to make Yeomin stay by his side, going as far as to threaten to break his ankle and pushing him around and even threatening him with his estranged mom and dad, using that knowledge against him, too.
What Mr. Yeon doesn't seem to understand is, that Yeomin has ALWAYS been painfully independent and proud and the only reason he's been acting differently with Mr. Yeon is because he had a huge crush on him. And Yeomin is anything but naive and helpless.
He never asked the ML for all the money and presents and even vehemently refused using any of the MLs money.
And now the ML is literally holding Yeomin captive and taunting him for 'working so hard' when 'he didn't need to' in his mind, because the ML has no concept of hard work or struggle.
Yeomin had multiple jobs and even kept his GPA almost impeccable, only to be treated like every sacrifice he made is worthless in the eye of a powerful rich kid with connections. That has to feel so fucking ridiculing daunting.
The ML wouldn't survive a day in Yeomins life.
And fact is :
Yeomin was doing a lot better before he met the ML. (Especially if you compare it to the situation right now.)
Even back when he was struggling to stay afloat, he was still positive and always found a way to cheer himself up with that little sparkle in his eyes.
That sparkle is completely gone now, though, which is no wonder after he found out that the person he loved is and absolute selfish pyscho who never truly cared about him.
I'm so looking forwad to our smart beans escape arc and the MLs face if Yeomin actually manages to make it out of there, muhahaha.

I'm nothing but a lone samaritan who HATES toxic MLs with a passion..
(Nobody tell me to "stop reading then!"..
I never said I didn't enjoy the drama and the chase arc, okay? )
I love this arc. This man was always a red flag. He was using Yeorim from the beginning and never cared about how Yeorim himself may feel. He didn't even say the truth about his identity.
Very briefly, he took monetary care of Yeormin, and suddenly everyone here saw him as a green flag. Bit that was never the case.
Even during his "good" arc, he didn't care about Yeorim's dreams, intentions, ambitions, ethics, or interests. He never spoke to the MC about his what they had built between them, nor gave any real, solid assurances for the future. What genuine conversations did they have? We were all glad to see MC relax for once, but from the beginning, it had nothing to do with MC's comfort and everything to do with ML's expectations and wishes for MC. ML's wishes decided MC's schedule, his academic career, his private family matters.
Now, suddenly, everyone can see that he is who he always was. He didn't use threats before because he didn't need to use threats before. He had other tools at his disposal. Now, when coaxing doesn't work, he goes to overt pressure.
This is a very good reminder to never, ever move in with someone too early without very solid escape and back up plans. And also a very good reminder to not date until you are FINANCIALLY SECURE. And finally, an excellent reminder, that "sugar daddies" are people out to exploit vulnerable populations.
