in a twisted way, I think the Empress is the most complex and interesting character in this story
Yeah, even after revealing her dark past, I love how the author maintained her villain approach when it could’ve been easily used as “pity the empress because of this and that”
Her methods are completely wrong and I won’t enable that - first of all!!! But I kind of get why her method of raising him was that way considering that she’s a survivor of a familial massacre herself. All her life, she has to fight for her life as an omega or else she could be killed which is something that she has adapted until motherhood thus further messed up her way of expressing her love and protectiveness. She could’ve done a better job as a mother and learned how to protect him better, but yeah, I could understand where she’s coming from but I don’t really condone it.
