Have you never watched anime or read an Asian cartoon before? The market is entirely the 12-21 demographic and fanservice has been a thing since forever. You learn to gloss over it if the story is good and the stuff isn't too intrusive.
Bro, I'm old as hell I followed the anime to manga to manhwa pipeline, I was like 13 watching Naruto, and many other anime. Yeah the fan service is why I dropped fire force, fairy tail etc it gets too a point man. The demographic for anime, we've grown up dude or atleast on my side of the internet and my friends, it was okay for us then now we see it and we and I still think sexualizing minors is not okay, and just because it's always been that way doesn't make it okay. Like my favorite shoujo romance I used to love I now notice was full of constant harassment and assault, it was normal then but it's not cool.
It gets too much to gloss over, when you're trying to read and there's a 16 year olds boobs and panty shots in your face, when you're in your 20s. Which is why I said it's not for me, I accept that and I'm leaving.
Honestly totally get it. I went back to rewatch a few I had remembered enjoying back in the day and had to turn it off because it was too much to ignore. I do find it easier to ignore scrolling rather than watching but it gets rough
Ooh ouch.. that’s exactly why I forced myself to watch anime despite the over the top fanservice at such a young age.. back then I convinced myself that that’s normal and that it’s just how anime is and ended up watching a bunch of stuff that I should’ve been spared of (⌒▽⌒) western social media taught me that it’s not normal so I learned to avoid such things (though, I had consumed a lot of strange stuff atp). I mean I guess you’re right about the story part. E.g. I loved Fairy Tail (since it’s been brought up) and I still do! Still, I had absolutely no business watching all that fanservice at the age of 10

Am I too old, are many manhwa readers teenagers? Cause I'm old as hell and sexualizing teenagers is not okay. I'll respectfully stay away I guess, again I'm probably too old but a teenage MC? He could have been a loser office worker and the plot wouldn't have changed.
I'm not a teenage boy so I'm probably not the target audience, so I'm packing my bags in search of another slop manhwa preferably with adult characters
