This story hits hard. My childhood and early adulthood was very similar to Cheol’s except my family is a lot worse. I eventually realised that no can rescue me but myself so I am trying to save myself. I would’ve sold my soul to the devil to have Cheol’s life. At least he had an uncle and Ji Minyeong who cared. My friends got upset at me after they pressured me into sharing about the violence back home because their mind dwelled on it so greatly that it affected their studies.
