They did mention that they started writing the story when AI was younger and they had an interest...though now it's evolved to a point where it's threatening their paycheck and they came off scared of AI. If the WHOLE PLOT wasn't revolving around AI, I'm curious if they would've just phased the elements out.
I like how the author writes a story set against the context of AI without getting too deep into it at the start. Its just an interesting topic to explore.
Eventually, the story comes to be influenced by the use of AI in our current technological era, even exploring arguments surrounding the topic… it’s almost like reading about someone’s research progress haha
