I love the trope of a tough character with mild anger management issues who somehow becomes completely docile and/or shy around their soft hearted, sunshine type significant other. And I’m not talking about the classic “they hate everyone except that one person” trope. They’re not necessarily mean or abrasive toward everyone else they just become noticeably more meek, shy, and submissive specifically around their partner. Who, for the record, is by NO means an intimidating presence AT ALL.
