Its sweet, its cringy and characters acknowledge it. If you take the dialogue too seriously and dont treat it as "lol that was cute and cringe" and move on, you will not like this. Its sugary sweet ML protects MC vibes, you gotta take it as is, ya know
I do think it focuses a lot on the relationship rather than the action but its probably cause its a romance story within a story. you know? the MC isekai'd into a novel, its got its own action going on while hes got his romance. Some parts I would have liked to see more of but the point is that hes not the MC of the whole novel, hes just a side character. The main characters in the novel are acknowledged but they aren't the forefront.
