Genuinely loved reading this, I felt the ebb and flow of the ups and downs. It is definitely dramatic but you come here for a story about love and finding yourself. its genuinely feel good at the end and it had me at the edge of my seat kicking and giggling. There were certain elements that I didn't particularly care for but I dont think any of that detracted from the over all story and here's why. LONG RANT BELOW IF YOU WANT A BREAKDOWN BEFORE READING

*SPOILERS BELOW*

1. It is a story, a fantasy of life if you will. of course its going to have elements and parts that are a bit dramatic like both of them liking each other and hiding their feelings. its a trope but you love to see it. I think the overarching story is slightly lacking in actual substance but somehow I do think the general "realness" you get from the feelings of the MC and ML are so wonderful to read and experience.

2. I will say, I don't really find it believable that after the rejection from the seme, the uke would be hurt. He basically started liking him and seeing him in that light over 1 kiss and it doesnt make sense that he would harbor feelings for 5 years. Would he mourn the friendship? YES, but he just realized hes gay. I think the author meant to show that what he thought was friendship feelings were actually feelings of love and like but it didn't come across to me that way.

3. There is depth to the main two characters. They were scared teens. For anyone who is not part of the LGBTQ there is genuine fear whenever you have to come out to anyone let alone how it happened to the MC and ML. Seme realized a lot earlier that he liked men and there was no way he would have known that the uke liked their first kiss. As far as he knew, the uke was telling him to stop and whether it was out of disgust or confusion, he wouldn't have known. All he did know was that he forced himself on the uke even if it was just a kiss which I think is very good that it is acknowledged in the story.

4. Seme isn't trash but I do think some of the drama of the lady with the kid is a little forced. Yes they are actors but a fabricated relationship with the lady with the kid is bit overboard IMO. But the Seme is very kind to the uke and I genuinely dont see how people are hating on him. And BTW after being drunk on their "first night" THE FIRST THING he asks is if he forced himself on the uke like, he cares about others and his partners very deeply whether it is the uke or not. hes a caring dude.

5. I think both the MC and ML had points of being in the wrong. I think the ML should have told the uke that he knew it was him. Sure, he was afraid he'd pull away but that was just continuing a lie.

6. The uke should have never tried for revenge AND he even tried tricking the seme into thinking they had sex that night. Yes, in his eyes he was played by the seme but it was just a kiss man. Genuinely idk how something like a kiss would have gotten him that angry. He has a right to feel upset and angry but he was about to ruin about like, 5 peoples careers, and a kids life for revenge over a kiss.

Overall, its not perfect, by no means perfect but for what it is, I think it handles itself pretty well. I enjoyed it and I felt so bad for both of them.
