My review for payback ( ≧∀≦)

I genuinely love this manhwa so much. I've reread it multiple times already and somehow never get tired of it. Compared to a lot of manhwas, mangas, and manhuas I've read, it doesn't feel like it's made to revolve around smut or romance alone. It actually has a story that made me feel so many things at once—sadness, anger, sorrow, excitement, warmth, and those little butterflies whenever Jay and Yoohan are together. Yoohan's journey especially stayed with me because his revenge slowly became more than just revenge. Along the way, he met people, formed bonds, and learned things about life that he never expected to. Like he said—maybe he was changing.

I think that's what makes Payback so special to me. A scene there reminded me a line from TGCF said by Xie Lian, "If you don'tknow the meaning to your life, then make me that meaning and use me as the reason to live". The idea of someone becoming a reason to keep going—not necessarily by saving you, but simply by making life feel worth staying for. Even the movie Yoohan acted in stuck with me, especially the scene where the girl wondered if she could have been the reason he stayed. It made me think about how we can never truly know how much our presence means to someone else. And thats probably how Yoohan felt with Jay, becoming his reason. I enjoyed Payback a lot and I'm still sad that it's over. It made me feel deeply, and even after multiple rereads, it still manages to leave something behind.
