Warning: Read the whole novel

I wrote a spoiler earlier but there was some confusion so I worded it better here.

This is a really overdramatic series, almost like a telenovela. Ml is a bratty, foul-mouthed person. He only experienced being loved but not giving love so he is immature, mean, and sometimes really inconsiderate to Mc. He is kind of aware about Mc's family, but he does not know how abusive they are. Mc is a truly miserable and abused character. He suffered so so much in this novel. His family is a source of fear and they're the reason why he has zero self worth/ confidence.

Ok so their first time happened during Mc's heat, I'm not sure if it was his first heat, but I remember it being pointed out as Mc's first time and I'm sure that it was non-consensual. Now, idk if it will be the same with the manhwa. So, there was this other guy involved trying to use his pheromones to make Mc submit and Ml saves him only to be the one to force Mc using his pheromones.

I'll skip some events and get to the angst part. Mc's father discovers that Ml and Mc are intimately involved. In a family dinner with Ml and Ml's parents, he accuses that Ml r*ped his son and Ml+Mc actually acknowledges that it was true. Mc tries to take the blame by saying he had his first time with the other guy that was involved but his dad humiliates him by hitting him, stripping him, and showing the marks Ml made (hickeys, etc.). Ml then says with his own mouth that he did r*pe Mc. The father says that Ml should provide compensation because now his son is a rag and no one would want him. They were forced to get engaged.

The whole engagement is chaotic. They fight all the time, open up, misunderstand each other, make up, become intimate. They have feelings for each other but don't know how to name it. Mc slowly opens up and becomes a bit more vulnerable while Ml falls harder and becomes less annoying. Mc actually has more freedom when he's with Ml vs when he's with his own family. His dad's and brother's abuse lessens as he spends less time with them but they still have a leash on him. Then his brother becomes jealous because he could tell the Mc is falling in love so he decided to kidnap him and keep him chained in a warehouse/cabin. He first gropes him, sexually assaults him, and then finally r*pes him. Turns out that he had always claimed Mc as his. It was very hard to read because Mc was fighting back so hard (he is actually physically strong) and begging the brother the entire time to stop. Saying things like, "Please hyung look at me, I'm Woori. I'm your brother." But he doesn't listen and even taunts Mc. Mc escapes for a bit and as brother tries to catch him, Ml hits the brother with his car and rescues Mc. The whole time Mc was missing, he was looking for him. He was going crazy because he can't locate Mc for days and started to have suspicions on the brother and followed him.

It's discovered that Mc is pregnant with Ml's child and they use this as leverage against the father to cut him off. Reasoning that the brother's r*pe almost induced a miscarriage. The brother is in coma now and the father is more worried for him than the Mc. He even victim blames him, saying he seduced the brother. They cut him off successfully and Ml finally mans up and becomes Mc's protector. He also regrets what he did and how he acted. The whole r*pe thing doesn't get brought up much and instead it focused more on the Mc's strength and what he does next. Their engagement proceeds. They almost broke up because of their miscommunication but in the end, they confess and Ml proposes to Mc properly.
