After reading vol 1, I...

I really enjoy the relationship. I think the dynamic is so fun and sweet, even if it happened quickly (but I'd take that over a slow burn, tbh). However, everything else either makes me nitpick or have a gripe. First there's the mpreg issue; since the leads are "defective," pregnancy is close to impossible. This sucks to me since that's all omegaverses are good for, since otherwise it's just horny with extra steps--unless a beta is involved, which is pretty much just a regular person. I do respect that it's plot-relevant (the beta-turned alpha does feel insecure since he's told that he was dumped for not being able to pass down his genes, and he hates being an alpha anyway. Then there's the issue that once the alpha becomes an omega, he's relocated because omegas are seen as inferior. This makes me so mad because it's very common for omegas/ukes to quit their job or be fired and rely on the alpha/seme. Both the omega and alpha have jobs here, but due to gender inequality, the BTA ranks higher than the ATO. Hoping that changes, as well as how the ATO seems less ambitious as he was originally due to his new location's more easygoing style--which isn't bad per se, but does feel similar to the aforementioned issue of firing/quitting, since now he's kind of a different person and no longer as powerful.

That said, I am invested enough to check out the second volume!
