Wtf are these disgusting comments???

What is going on with some of these comments where people are victim blaming and saying that Haesoo should’ve “pushed back” and “screamed for help” … excuse me? Do you know how sexual assault happens? No person actively being assaulted just lets it happen because they want it to continue - it’s because the aggressor might be aggressive, armed, and also just because the person getting assaulted might be in shock and frozen (a natural trauma response). Their life could very well be in danger. It’s reaaaal easy to say “If it were me, I would’ve kicked his ass” until you’re the one getting assaulted, you’re scared and confused, unsure of what could happen if you try to retaliate. Will you get punched back? Raped? Killed? It IS that serious.

Haesoo’s voice was LITERALLY TREMBLING as she was getting groped. Y’all clearly don’t know how hard and terrifying it is to be in that situation, and the fact that you’re saying Haesoo should’ve spoken up about it or pushed him away is fucking absurd lmao. This is just some deplorable shit in the comment section. Stop telling the SA victim that they “need to be more combative with their aggressor”. Freezing up and fearing for one’s life are very human reactions and it’s not up to the VICTIM to do better. Smh.

I couldn't agree with you more honestly I think some people forget that just bc you're reading fiction doesn't mean it doesnt reflect on real world issues and additionally dont fully comprehend the weight of their words they put online. Moreover media literacy has just been on a decline, everyone is all ab standing up for victims rights until its a victim that doesn't fit their idealized narrative of how they want it to play out, not considering the conditions and how someone in that situation would realistically react. Overall, im just as disappointed as you are.
