but at the same time, we have to acknowledge that there is some nuance to this—there’s actual people who don’t actually know their preferences, SOGIE, until later in life. and there’s nothing wrong with being uncomfortable thinking about yourself with others that you don’t like, it’s not that there’s anything wrong with that, it’s just biologically how it is. he also didn’t outwardly speak on it so it isn’t homophobic in that sense at all. just speaking from experience!
That's completely true, understandable and fine on a human lens but we know between the both of us that isn't the case in a manwha where this kind of trope has more nuance than just a character not knowing their identity fully.
this was really so cute and fun and a chill read until we got to MC with the "I don't like guys just ML I'm actually disgusted thinking about me with other men trope" and I suddenly remember that they don't actually like gay people over there and that two attractive well-prospective men falling for each other is just a novelty to be enjoyed rather than an actual human experience
