I feel like the AUs were a great way of adding more to the character and story without screwing up the og plotline. I'm saying this cause a lot of authors tend to milk their stories to the point where everything goes to shit (I'm looking at you "Cherry blossoms after Winter"). But instead of adding more and more to the og plot, I think creating AUs to somewhat change their personality, while keeping the main components same, works much better.
Yesss, agreed! And it's also a perfect opportunity for the author to sprinkle in some scenes/ideas that didn't make the final cut! (I'm also staring at Cherry blossoms after winter)
