It seems like the AI translations fucked it up. I assume he didn’t actually know it was rizzo that came and thought it was another editor/employee, since rizzo says he resigned from that position long before

They either like he said brought him back to deal with the author and this is his first visit therefore by meeting "Ben" the author missed his chance to meet him, or the author is aware and is lying/hiding something from Ben.
Wasn't the author eagerly waiting for his ex to return? And now that he's here author is just chill? Im confused
