the art is so gorgeous, but the characters + plot feel so nothingburger...?
i'm usually a big fan of soft-hearted, sweet fmcs, but i do love for them to have something more to them -- this fmc isn't it lol. in fact, i feel frustrated and annoyed at her actions and behavior most of the time esp when the story pushes onto you that she is just the most loveliest and purest person ever (lmao a few characters say this actually?). literally, one of her ''flaws'' shown to us is that she is just SO kind-hearted that it is just SO selfish and inconsiderate of her LOL. like, whatever man.
"i'm a very kind person, but me wanting to help others so much makes me very selfish! i just met you, but i want to get to know you more! i know all these girls are scared and might actually die (and me too), but i don't find you that scary at all!! in fact, i'm going to jump in front of the weapon to save you because you're kind-hearted..!! even tho i just knew you for 30s"
i don't mind her being soft. i like soft. i don't mind her being kind, but thrown into situations that are otherwise horrifying -- she feels inhuman to me compared to the two other girls.
mmc is kinda just ur typical stoic shoujo love interest. i don't really have much 2 comment for him. he's cardboard... it's like the author took two characters and just wanted them together so they made the story around them instead of it just developing organically bc the pacing is just fast lol; mmc likes her because she is so kind and selfless and special. fmc likes him because he's hot and tortured.
