it stayed faithful to the novel and the adaptation did justice to the pacing even if some people would think it’s very slow. It’s just how it really is written. It has the erha trope where the seme repents so hard. for me the repentance was executed well not that personally i would forgive the other party if this happened to me. But the story was fleshed out and both characters are complex. I especially liked how Ido’s character tries to reconcile both timelines and his approach to the whole situation. His actions made him seem a lot more sincere and genuine.
