istg this is so true. I personally treated the rape as a bad dream because of how shitty it was for the plot. everything feels rushed cause it is. I’ve marinated it because people were crashing out with how season 1 ended but now I that I’ve read it I really don’t understand how the author just brushed off the rape as if it was nothing?? I feel like there wasn’t enough impact and consequences for it and the author quickly just wanted to do damage control/patch things up because of the backlash from readers with the whole sequence because everything feels too fucking rushed.
