Okay I reread this again because I love it so much and I just realised nobody is talking about the conversation Angel had with Ryan where Angel was visibly annoyed and specifically clarified that just because heās sexually expressive and liberated, does not mean he is āeasyā or a slut. He literally said he doesnāt like being slut shamed for owning up to his sexuality. Yes, he can have sex anyone that he wants to, but that doesnāt mean anyone can just fuck him and I think people tend to forget the difference between the two. Because the first one means they both have the liberty to engage in sexual activities, giving BOTH of them an a consensual agreement which is a form of respect (to yourself and the other party) and boundary. But the second one is implying someone has no self respect for the authority of their own body and sexuality because āanyone can just fuck them if they want toā. Itās like implying someone else is making you spread your legs instead of yourself and that is the definition of slut shaming.
Thatās why the moment Angel realised he was starting to like Josh he stopped giving sexual advances to anyone (the teasing/jealous part was just him listening to his roommates bad advice to get Joshās attention lmao but even then he doesnāt do anything sexually suggestive to them). And he was especially cold to Ryan because he knew what they had done and he did not want anything to escalate from that while heās trying to pursue someone. That alone shows he does have self respect and boundaries for himself. Angel is the epitome that someone can be sexually liberated while still having firm boundaries and respect for themselves.

People use that term to shame on others and implying they have no self respect (there were also a lot of those comments in the earlier chapters) for their sexuality.
