I’m sorry but no matter how the author tried to angstify the plot everything just feels so unnecessary and forced. Like I usually can empathize with characters who make dumb or redundant decisions because of their conflict but the author’s execution is so bad it’s not giving the impact that they’re trying to achieve. It just feels so dramatic for no reason. A conflict that didn’t need to be there but is just there for the sake of it.
