The translations

I want to start reading this but can’t decide whether to read the official or fan translations. Are the official translations worse than the fan translations?

As someone who has read the fan translation but also owns the official translations. The official names of many characters are very different from the fan translations. If you do interact with the fandom, such as edits, arts, etc. many of them are more associated with the fan translation, so it gets confusing. But if you do want to support the author, I suggest the translation. In my opinion it’s not bad, but many people will make fun of the official translation just because it’s very different from what majority of the people know.

I would suggest the official, the editing is way better than the fan translation and is overall more enjoyable to read. The translator is the the same as the first fan translation and they do a really good job, but you can definitely tell that they are more experienced than when they were first doing the fantl. You can get used to the different names pretty easily and switch between them for fan stuff i.e. Vicross or Beacrox

I really like how fan translation reflect the characters personality and dialogue compared to official
The official for me made Cale more arrogant to choir han
Not sure but that's how I remembered it
