Okay this is just purely my own personal opinion but while I don't excuse or justify Cleo’s actions, I think her character deserves the same contextual grace we extend to Titania. Just as Titania’s misdeeds are often attributed to her environment, Cleo’s behavior is rooted in a similar history of neglect and instability. Some may argue that because both were mistreated and isolated, Cleo should have empathized with Titania. However, some trauma doesn't automatically foster compassion—it often teaches a child that life is a dog-eat-dog survival game. Cleo didn't see Titania as a sister in suffering; she viewed her as a shield against falling back into powerlessness. Again I know that understanding her survival instincts doesn't justify her cruelty, but it gives clear context to her psychology. Anyway that’s all love the story so far and I want the ML to suffer more before he’s forgiven.
