I kinda know that already but I don't want to comment on it bc we are not that far in the story. But it was kinda obvious that something was holding him back but I still like Edric more like I know hows ml amd why he is the way that he is but I still love Edric more. My own preference
Edric the man you are, I love you. Varkas does care, I know that bc his first instinct was to run to her but his duty was to save Ayla and In this kind of situation a Captain of Knight is not allowed to panic.
