and wdym by "a better environment" when the blondie also comes from the very environment where it prioritizes political marriages and dismisses self-confident one's identity as a human being, not just alpha/omega （￣へ￣）
I don’t believe I was against the “right ro know about the situation”. I’m just saying give him some time, I’m sure it isn’t any easier for him who was raised in such environment, I’m sure he would tell Akane even if not now. I would hope he does. And no, he is not obligated to be with Akane…I think we are mad at the wrong issue. The big issue is the family coercing Oto, who has been abused since he was young. Not him marrying Blondie if he did.
Not that I want him to marry Blondie but Oto is not obligated to marry Akane either. It isn’t unfair to the deal dad, I don’t think Oto ever accepted his feelings 100%. Akane is good, but it doesn’t mean Oto NEEDS TO be with him.

What I basically said is: Shuga deserves a place in Akane’s life, Oto shouldn’t have hidden Akane from him, but Akane also shouldn’t simply be taken away from Oto, and Blondie/political marriage isn’t automatically some healthier alternative.

Shuga absolutely has the right to be apart of Akane’s life. Oto was wrong for running off with the baby and not telling Shuga bare minimum. It doesn’t mean Akane should be forcefully taken from Oto! Both are parents. Shuga is not a kid anymore and Oto needs to realize that. He has, I guess, but it’s a bit difficult to accept because he ran away. He feels guilty. He is also afraid of Shuga’s family rejecting him, just like his own family threw him away.
Also, Shuga is not like a second kid. If anything, he has helped Oto the most, it does feel like love bombing but I think a year and half of reflecting is plenty to realize love for someone. Sometimes, love is without reason. Love falls apart even with just wrong timing. But Shuga reflected and gave Oto space, instead of hunting him down. He provided Oto relaxation, and he confessed without holding back.
Can people stop making it seem like Oto will definitely choose the Blondie?
He is thinking. Oto was raised to be a married off omega, thrown away cause he was ‘defective’. I think his family’s teachings is still in his head, it’s not something that can be unwired easily. He’s not a strong person, he is strong for protecting Akane up till now, but he is a bit naive and gullible. But I sincerely hope he realizes marrying someone who’s just in it for political reasons—isn’t really good, especially in a family that held him back, and threw him away.
