I got the chapter 1 via Cheri+ and I’m so sorry for any misinformation. I should have read before I listened to someone, I was too happy and posted the news, and claimed it was one of the child (of Ilya and Khalid) story spin off. It’s actually not, I believe. It is spin off but it’s different characters. There is only one chapter out, and @Taekooksupremacy plans to take over the translation. Here is the summary of what I read from the raw:
Yuuhua is our Protagnist. He is the 3rd imperial prince of Natashu. He is an Omega I believe, and his mother keeps that a secret because imperial-family Omegas are killed in Natashu. As a child he is kept almost completely inside the palace and later meets Shaoshe (ML!!) outside it.
Riisha is Yuuhua’s mother. She hid Yuuhua’s Omega status and keeps him isolated to protect him. She tells him that because he is an Omega, he has nowhere safe to go even outside the palace and that the only path for him to survive is to become emperor.
Tsui is a woman who looks after Yuuhua and is trusted by Riisha. She remains with Yuuhua and later gives him the letter his mother left behind.
The Emperor is Yuuhua’s father. He tells Yuuhua that compassion will become a weakness in Natashu and that if he does not want to be eliminated, he must become strong.
Shenran I believe is a former palace maid whom Riisha once loved like a younger sister. She became pregnant after being taken by the emperor. Because of her low social status, her child was not acknowledged as the emperor’s, and she was expelled from the palace. Riisha secretly arranged somewhere for her to live. Shenran later gave birth, married another man, and lost contact with Riisha. Aw.
Shaoshe: (ML) The severely neglected twelve-year-old child Yuuhua finds after going in search of Shenran. He lives in poverty outside the palace and is treated by the villagers as a so-called “demon child.” :(
There are three secondary sexes in this world. Alphas are associated with the ruling class and are said to be common among royalty. Betas make up most of the population. Omegas are extremely rare. Natashu treats Omegas harshly. Omegas are regarded as beings who can bewitch or influence people and are called something equivalent to “demonic beings.”
An Omega born into the imperial family is believed to possess the power to bring the country to ruin. Because of that…an imperial Omega is supposed to be executed immediately after birth. Yikes. Yuuhua is born an Omega.
That is why his mother hides this fact. From the time he is born, she never allows him outside their part of the palace. As a small child, Yuuhua repeatedly asks why he cannot go outside. The women caring for him worry that the secret cannot last forever. Once Yuuhua eventually experiences his first heat, concealing the fact that he is an Omega will become extremely difficult. His mother tells Yuuhua directly that he must hide this secret for his entire life. Even leaving the palace would not save him because an Omega like him would have nowhere dependable to go.
She then tells him: His only path to survival is becoming emperor. She embraces him and asks him to forgive her. Yuuhua understands that although his mother has deceived him about things, her desire to protect him was genuine. His mother is very careful about Yuuhua's food. Yuuhua remembers that she never allowed him to eat before she did.
During a palace gathering, something goes wrong after Riisha consumes what has been served. She collapses. Only then does Yuuhua understand why she always ate before him. He comes to understand the palace as a place where poison and blood are ordinary parts of life.
Riisha dies :( his mother
The emperor tells Yuuhua that what happened to Riisha was regrettable. He refers to the failure of the person responsible for tasting her food and says the responsible person will be punished. Yuuhua defends Tsui, explaining that the rules surrounding food tasting at a court tea gathering meant that Tsui could not have prevented what happened.
The emperor is surprised by Yuuhua's response. He calls Yuuhua compassionate but tells him compassion will become a shackle in this countr, that it leads to weakness. If Yuuhua does not want to be eliminated, he must be strong.
The emperor also says that Yuuhua is beautiful and resembles Riisha. After Riisha's death, Tsui gives Yuuhua a letter that Riisha had prepared in case something happened to her. The letter explains that Riisha once had a maid she loved like a younger sister. That woman's name was Shenran.
Shenran caught the emperor's attention and became pregnant with his child. Because Shenran was of low status, as I already said, the emperor did not recognize the child as his own, and Shenran was expelled from the palace. Riisha secretly arranged somewhere for Shenran to live. She gave birth. Later she married another man, after which contact between her and Riisha ended. Riisha’s instructions tell Yuuhua to seek out this woman if anything happens to her.
So Yuuhua leaves the palace and searches for Shenran. He eventually reaches the place where she was supposed to be living. Yuuhua asks: “Is Shenran here?”
He is told that Shenran died from an epidemic 2 years earlier. Her husband died as well. The villager then talks about a child they despise. They refer to him as an “oni-ko” (a demon child). According to the villager, people in the village even gave the child poison for amusement, but he did not die. That IS CRAZY!!! Poor child.
Yuuhua goes to find him. The child is 12 years old, Yuuhua immediately notices that he is unusually small for twelve. Yuuhua sees that he has not been receiving adequate nutrition. The boy is thin, dirty and living in miserable conditions around a livestock shed/farming area. Yuuhua, at first, regards him as a seemingly insignificant. He asks the boy:
“What is your name?” The boy doesn’t answer.
Yuuhua even wonders whether he is unable to speak. Despite deciding that the boy does not seem useful to him, Yuuhua returns to see him. And then he returns again. Their relationship gradually changes. Yuuhua realizes that he keeps finding reasons to come back even though he originally had no intention of doing so. Shaoshe, boy name, begins waiting for him.
Shaoshe asks: “Will I be able to see you tomorrow too?”
Yuuhua continues visiting. He notices that Shaoshe apparently survives on food provided through the village, but it does not look like nearly enough. Yuuhua brings him food. Shaoshe also shows Yuuhua food he has and offers some to him. When Yuuhua initially recoils from something Shaoshe offers, Shaoshe tells him to wash his hands and touches him only afterward :(.
They eventually eat together. Shaoshe gives Yuuhua something sweet. Yuuhua tastes it and thinks: “It is very sweet.”
Shaoshe smiles around him. Yuuhua asks why he is smiling and whether he is happy that Yuuhua came to see him. It’s refreshing and something new to Yuuhua because all his life, he had to hide and all relationships within palace weren’t friendly. Eventually Yuuhua has to leave.
Shaoshe again asks: “Will I see you tomorrow?”
Yuuhua tells him: “Forget about me.”
Yuuhua returns to the palace. But the words “Will I see you tomorrow?” remain in his mind.
Back inside the palace, Yuuhua thinks about everything that has happened. I believe he thinks of the palace as the place that takes away everyone he loves. His thought is that if the place itself continually takes the people he loves from him, then he has no choice but to destroy that place itself. That leads directly back to what his mother told him. Yuuhua decides he’ll become emperor.
If there is no longer anyone capable of taking things from him, then there will no longer be anyone who can be taken away from him. He intends to end the cycle with his own hands, so it’s not like he’s power hungry.
Spin Off: The Vermilion Omega (Shukou no Omega).
