i feel like this recent chapter really highlights that beom isnt human. I dont think we can project human emotions to beom because he doesnt even know what he's feeling, he doesnt know what 'love' is either and im not sure if he wants geonpil in a romantic way? vice versa with geonpil. him saying he wants beom to become an animal so he can still keep him around really shows that geonpil doesnt love beom romantically or sexually. i think he just needs beom. someone who can accept him as he is, who's easy to read, and needs him just as much as he needs them. someone who he knows wont leave him either. beom gives geonpil a sense of security yeonsung cant. because yeonsung is a person who can act on his own thoughts and decisions, while beom is a spirit that relies on geonpil for companionship and affection.
