if it wasnt an official translation of the novel then i dont think its the most trustworthy when it comes to gender translations are always kinda wonky
true, but also surely MTL can't be that bad that it would deliberately translate Mother as Father? pronouns i could understand because even if it's gender neutral, they change he to she in BLs, but Mother/Father?
I think the translators might have confused the Sun Goddess (her followers being the Sun Cult) and the Sun God whom Jio serves, by thinking of them as the same god?
