It's kind of amazing to see actually realistic trauma/response rep.

Whether some people like it or not, this is a way more realistic depiction of how a severely traumatized person would behave. The trauma didn't just come from her husband's actions. Her father was murdered by her uncle, then she's sent to this far off territory that essentially becomes a social/psychological hellhole for her. This nightmare goes on for 7 years, where she's treated HORRIBLY by everyone around her, with NO ONE on her side, only to eventually die a very slow and painful death. I like how the story is handling the ML's repentance (but ONLY because we know he was brainwashed), BUT it pisses me off seeing people not understand just HOW EMOTIONALLY SCARRING her past life was. Like, YES, she has every fucking right to be this negative and constantly on edge around him and everyone in that place. She's been affected to the point of accepting any chance at passive suicide.
