Oh, what a virtuous man. He married a man who was disguising himself as a woman, so after being raped by whoever the fuck he was with, he had trauma and didn’t want to sleep with his “wife.” Fine. I can understand that part. But technically, his wife was still living with him, pretending to be a woman and fulfilling the role of his wife, while he was fucking around with multiple other women for days. So whatever excuse you give me, that is cheating.
And don’t give me that crap about, “Oh, they weren’t together.” Then what the fuck were they? They were literally married. If they weren’t actually a couple, then why was he trying so hard to appease him afterward? Why not just say, “Yeah, I was fucking around, and you should do the same”? Did he ever say that? No. Obviously not. Because that would completely destroy the narrative the author is trying to sell.
And what exactly did we get from the whole cheating storyline? Nothing. What consequences did he face? Nothing. What did he do to make up for it? Give him a fucking puppy and say, “Okay, forget about the cheating. I was young and harsh.” Oh, wow. Problem fucking solved. A puppy apparently erases days of sleeping with multiple women.
And then you have this fucking MC, who is written as naive and such a massive pushover that he just accepts everything.

It really shows how easily people forget the cheating part. He literally cheated with a married woman, yet somehow everyone just moved on. When that scene happened, dozens of people were calling it out in the comments, but now I barely see anyone mentioning it. I guess that’s just how society works people conveniently forget the parts they don’t want to remember.
