I love passion with all of my fricking heart

Idk if I'll read the next chapters of raga but I love the art and plot and honestly I can't possibly say one is better than the other.

I do believe that people do prefer raga because it's more fast paced in a sense? But in my opinion, passion and passion raga are both incredibly different and cannot exactly be compared.

But I love passion raga for the beautiful themes it incorporates (not that the main one doesn't, but this Raga allows us to see both character's perspectives, and both characters are quite introspective and reflective), like xinlu really made me think about human expectancy and morality. About entitlement and all of these prospects that never crossed my mind before.

Similarly with yuri, his character is beautiful and so layered. He has such an entrancing way of seeing the world, with his gentleness and consideration, and honestly him and xinlu are so compatible. They literally fit like two puzzle pieces. Where Xinlu has struggled to fully live as himself because he's been surrounded by people who feel entitled to his kindness and decency, Yuri remains by Xinlu's side even when seeing these aspects.

He doesn't expect anything (or much, not like others would look at Xinlu to gain something from him) from Xinlu. He simply let's him be, and that's a beautiful thing. And there's also this perfect equilibrium, where Yuri, despite his allure towards Xinlu, isn't reluctant to criticize Xinlu. However he goes about it in such a patient manner that it's so sweet watching as he and Xinlu work through communication and reconciling. Honestly, I really love this pair. And for all the backlash Passion gets, it's a wonderful piece. The author is very talented and dedicated to their work, and it shows.

P.S. I will say that there were a few things that bothered me, such as Yuri being initially attracted to Xinlu due to his looks, which is something Xinlu mentions in the story, because it does make his interest shallow. We do see some progression, however so idk. There's a lot more I would say but this is mostly a positive review and stuff.
