The organization is mentioned in earlier chapters, but between now and then when they pop back up, we're moreso focused on the family dynamic and the couple's past. That's not bad, but it's insane to not get into the WHOLE PURPOSE their son was born until the season 2 finale when we didn't really discuss it much beforehand. It was very limited.
