Dafug! I love the main couple from PASSION. You need to read all of it to get a better understanding of this story. Or not! You can read this and sort of get the gist every time he mentions the past.

No, you don’t have to read the main story because this one takes place mostly separate from it and only really shares the characters. You just need a basic understanding of their past which you probably already know if you started the main story. But I would recommend giving the main story a second chance because I love it a lot!
