Honestly I really don’t know where to start or how to talk about this manhwa because it made me feel so many different things and I have so much to say about it First I wanna talk about the story in general The idea was actually really interesting and it could’ve been something really good There are so many manhwas with this kind of plot and I actually enjoy a lot of them but this one really didn’t do the idea justice and at some point it just went completely off track Until around chapter 20 I was actually really into the story and I had a lot of hope that it was gonna go somewhere interesting but nope
Now about the characters The main character was such a weird character for me because on one hand he actually knew what he wanted and he wasn’t one of those helpless characters who can’t do anything for themselves but on the other hand he suddenly became completely under the control of the abusive male lead in such a stupid way He knew very well what kind of situation he was in but he still didn’t do anything about it and that was really disappointing to me The way he was written made me feel like he could’ve been a strong and independent uke who wouldn’t let anyone cross the line with him and I really think this weird contradiction in his character made the story get so much worse And the male lead was fucking awful He was honestly one of the worst characters I’ve ever read A clueless abusive violent rapist The most annoying part of this manhwa for me was the smut scenes because basically every single one was just the male lead forcing himself on the main character while he was literally saying no don’t I really don’t understand why a 70 chapter manhwa had to have so much rape in it The second guy who fell in love with the main character and came into the story later was honestly the only character I thought was written okay and good and actually made sense This story could’ve been so much more interesting if he was the endgame It would’ve been really interesting to see two people who both have a clear goal working together The main character trying to get his memories back and the other guy actually supporting him and helping him do it and all that But apparently the author thought making the male lead as shitty useless and pathetic as possible would make the story better and honestly they just ruined their own story
This was such a frustrating and unpleasant experience for me And putting the shitty smut scenes aside watching the main character’s whole personality fall apart and then seeing him go back to his abuser like nothing happened genuinely made me wanna smash my phone At this point the only way I could’ve accepted this story was if the main character at least didn’t end up with that guy
