That man is a groomer, every kind action towards Sohm is an act of manipulation, we even see in chapter 54 that he used to hit Sohm's hands as "punishment" for being late. His words about Geon trying to control Sohm were basically about himself. He's not a "reliable but possesive" hyung, he's a groomer.
