In the novel (I dont remember completely as i read it an year ago)
Taekjoo gets raped by someone else too. He loses his memory too. After zhenya finds him and they try to fuck. Taekjoo gets ptsd and he throws up and they stop making out.
Later on like when zhenya gets to know about it (after Taekjoo's memory return he talks about) and zhenya gets angry and he wants to kill that bastard. Then taekjoo reminds him that he (zhenya) has done the same to him (Taekjoo) so like whats the point of getting angry.
Maybe that was the moment zhenya felt sorry for the first time i guess....
