wait honestly I was thinking that the storyline isn't over yet? like it's still something that the author will go through in future chapters? becuase with what I'm seeing it's still a recurring theme and I was thinking because we don't know the actual identity and garam doesn't know about him yet that it's not exactly left "inconclusive". like it'll get another plotline
my guess is that there's going to be a breakup arc, since we see garam losing more and more peace and affection, and heejae is going to have to face that past relationship with the manager to really move forward. he's gotta face his demons
Honestly, I NEED for the storyline of the manager to come back, especially if Heejae and Garam are gonna fight (which is obviously coming) because I felt like it was left inconclusive and didn't have a proper end.
